We are currently able to offer specialist training in sprinting, long jump and hurdles with Paul and Margret Smith (other events are covered by our Event Group coaches). So if you want to hone your skills in these events, either for competition or just enjoyment, this is the group for you.

Paul & Margaret Smith share a wealth of experience coaching sprinters over many years with great success.

Sprinting

Have a need for speed? Sprinting is one of the most physically demanding tasks that the human body can perform, covering short distances at top speed requires power, strength, technique and flexibility to name a few. Learning correct sprinting technique is key to getting the best out of your body and avoiding injury.

Hurdling

As if sprinting wasn't tough enough already, someone decided it was a good idea to put barriers on the track that you have to jump over at high speed! Again, if hurdling is your thing, technique is critical to get over the barriers efficiently and safely, especially when you see how high they are close-up!

Long Jump

Another event built on explosive speed and power, getting as far into that sand pit as possible takes a lot of work and training. Whether you prefer the "hang" or the "hitch-kick" we will help you go the distance.
